  Poorly managed, very limited selection of inventory, half the time the milk is low inventory, produce is not fresh, the shelves are full of fillers like paper towels or large plastic containers that just take up space and not real inventory like they are just marking time till they close the store. I went to the Monterey Ave store to see if it was the same and the answer is no. Much more and better selection there, fresher produce, and more attention in keeping the inventory stocked not half empty shelves or fillers with bulk items throughout the store so no one would notice the fillers instead of actual inventory. Matybe they are about to close down. Hard to tell and compared to the Monterey store well it is so much better in so many ways and so is the La Quinta store. Finally the Palm Desert store has a policy that if you need to return something even food you have to bring the item in no matter what condition it is in no matter how rotten it may be. In other words a proof of purchase is not good enough. You have to actually bring in the item. So apparently they don't believe or trust you. So bring the food in and dump it on the counter. There isn't another store including other 99 cent in the area that a proof of purchase and your word is not sufficient. Shameful. Maybe they are about ready to close their doors and don't want to say it.

  They have a great selection of products and more than half the prices are still just 99 cents. The store isn't always as clean as it has been in the past and there are only two associates that are courteous and helpful. The others, not so much.
